The Amira Diaries

My debut album Coming April 25

The Amira Diaries

“The Amira Diaries” is a reflection of my journey through the ups and downs of my early 20s. It’s about confronting struggles; from surviving an abusive relationship and finding the courage to leave, learning to love myself again, grieving the ongoing genocide of my people, discovering love and strength within my community, and reconnecting with my purpose.

Music has always been my therapy and a way to heal. Transforming feelings into songs, with the hope that they resonate with others who’ve lived through similar chapters of the human experience. The album blends themes of princess-like elegance, baroque style, and glam rock vibes, exploring vulnerability and femininity, which all resonate with my experiences.

I named the album “The Amira Diaries” because it serves as a diary of the past three years of my life. My name means "Princess," and it also nods to one of my favorite movies, “The Princess Diaries.” The whole album was recorded and produced right in my bedroom, making it an incredibly personal piece of work for me.”
